India Post GDS Online Engagement Schedule-II, July 2026 notification has been released by the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications. The recruitment is for the engagement of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in different postal circles and divisions across India.
Eligible candidates can apply for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak through the official India Post GDS online portal.

Candidates should carefully note the following dates:

Candidates can follow these simple steps:
Visit the official India Post GDS online engagement portal and complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process.
After registration, log in and enter the required details carefully.
Candidates should check:
Candidates are required to upload their recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
No other documents need to be uploaded with the application form, according to the notification.
Select the applicable Postal Circle/Division and available GDS posts according to the instructions provided on the portal.
Candidates who are required to pay the application fee should complete the online fee payment within the prescribed deadline.
Before final submission, carefully check every detail entered in the application form.
After submission, keep a copy of the application/registration details for future reference.
This is one of the most important instructions in the notification.
Only one registration is permitted for each candidate.
Multiple or duplicate registrations/applications are strictly prohibited.
If it is found at any stage that a candidate has submitted duplicate or multiple applications, the candidature may be cancelled and appropriate action may be taken under the GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020.
Don't create another registration.
The Department will provide an edit/correction window for two days after the application closing date.
The correction window is:
23 September 2026 to 24 September 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
Candidates can use this window to correct eligible registration/application details, including online fee payment wherever applicable.
